Kayleigh and I had talked about doing a shoot years ago.  Today I was honored to have the chance to meet her and take some photos of her.  Her boyfriend came along and we were able to brave some cold wind and a fat studio cat that didn't like smelling dogs to get some photos done.  They are a really good looking couple, hoping they'll let me shoot them in some warmer weather this year.  Stay tuned! :) -Randy

Decided to get out and explore a bit now that it is warmer.  Wanted to shoot a sunset.  Also decided today to stop branding my photos.  So from this day on I will be posting work as pure as I can without a logo.  I think it makes the work look better. -Randy

Saw a melting puddle in front of my house this morning, so I texted Sabrina to see if she wanted to go out and shoot.  She was able to get ready quick and we went exploring for puddles for me to shoot some reflections.  This was one of my faves. :) -Randy

Anti-Bullying day.....I have had too many friends that were bullied by other photographers.  Sometimes it's cause they are new, they don't charge enough or maybe it's just photographers that brag themselves up and act like they are God's gift to photography.....I have been bullied lots when I was starting out and I will stand up for anyone being bullied and made fun of by these photographer jerks that like to think they were born with a camera in their hands.  -Randy

Got to shoot two friends that are workout partners today.  I had shot with Patricia Walroth before and this was Katie's first shoot.  It was a lot of fun, I wish them all the best this year in Calgary as they go to a Fitness Competition.  :) -Randy

Back in Red Deer College I created this bronze sculpture, it was really a challenge for me as 3D art was never really my thing.  I really like how this turned out and am really happy I had the experience to do something like this.  Decided since I am kind of drained at the end of a crazy week that this needed to be a quick picture for my 365.....so have a good long weekend everyone, lots of photo ideas planned for the next few days!!! -Randy

This book was returned to me by an art student of mine....decided to make it my 365 pic today.  This book contained art by the amazing J.Scott Campbell who is one of my fave artists.  Comic books will always be a huge part of my creativity, when I draw, or do photography, there is always some element of comic books that creeps in.  :)  Love them and had to bring them in to my 365. -Randy

Well today the Superbowl was on, I was hoping that this 365 would be like my previous one when the Saints won the superbowl.  I was cheering for them too.  The 49ers looked brutal for most of the game but still somehow came back and got close.  However they lost.  Still the best thing was watching it with a good friend and eating yummy things and drinking lots of pepsi. :) -Randy

1 month down, 11 to go.......decided to drive down the street and shoot this big silver dome church that we have lived nearby for years.  Love the distortion from the wide angle.  :)  Can finally see it nice and juicy on full frame. :) -Randy

Had to shoot a cat, had an eye appointment and the dilated my eyes, so pretty much shot this when I got home and processed it late before bed.  Not feeling so hot, so thankfully my cats to the rescue being my models. :) - Randy

Today was a cold day, didn't feel like going outside and exploring, so only went out my front door and shot a quick HDR picture.  Sometimes 365's can be really tough to find a shot that is awesome, I am still pleased with it, even if it's REALLY similar to my previous day 10 pic. :D  Hoping 20 days later people won't remember it as much.

Today was a super cold Monday....work was good.  A really great lady I work with had her birthday today, so we went to Boston Pizza for lunch.  Overall a really good Monday!!  I am tired, but I always am, I am learning to deal with middle aged life....always being tired.  Well, not much to say....I grabbed an apple to eat for lunch but didn't get a chance.  As I walked out of the school I realized I wanted to shoot it for my 365 picture.  So here is my apple in a tree:

I finally made my way out to visit Jennifer Jorgensen and see her stomping grounds.  Was a lot of fun, I had only seen her school house in photos, was surreal to actually be there and see it in person.  I was thrilled she allowed me to shoot some pics of her.  Honored to add such a talented photographer and beautiful model to my 365 in 2013!!! HAPPY NERD DAY!!!! My books arrive from an artist I have loved for many years.  J.Scott Campbell!!!  The dude is amazing, love seeing his ruff stuff, so many amazing ideas and sketches.  The man is brilliant.  So many amazing comics he has penciled.  This HAD to be my pic of the day, he also signed both books!!!  Here is more info on Mr.Campbell. -Randy
