~ Wedding Photography ~

This summer I was able to shoot a few weddings with my good friend and professional photographer Olivia from Images by Olivia.  She is a super talented photographer and together we had a blast shooting this wedding at the start of Sept.  Weddings are always a fun time seeing the couple enjoying the day with their family and friends and the special moments that unfold.

~ Movember 2014 and some Wedding Images ~

I realize my blog has been quiet, so here is an update to what's been going on in my world.  This school year has been REALLY busy and I have not had a whole lot of time for photography.  I did shoot a wedding recently with a young couple at Fort Edmonton at the start of November. (pics below)

Winter is here now and I am hoping to capture some lovely winter scenes to share on the blog.  I also have a plan for some studio work this winter.  The theme I want to do is angels. :)  I have always loved the game Magic The Gathering, there are some really cool cards with angels on them and the art is amazing.  I have always thought it would be cool to do something photography related of angels but I find it SUPREMELY cliche and cheesy to have a model wearing those fake wings.  I always told myself if I did an angel theme it would need to be something composite so the wings looked better than just fake strapped on wings.  So if you're a model interested in being part of my Angel theme then please contact me. :)

Finally I got Marnie to get in front of my camera.  Been asking her if she ever wanted family photos, etc for years.  She never once accepted my offer.  But today she was renewing her wedding vows and I got my shot.  Thanks Marnie for allowing me to be there to snap some memories for you today. -Randy

~ 10 Years today!!!! ~

10 YEARS TODAY!!!!!

Seems like time has flown....to be here waking up to a 10 year Anniversary.  Life speeding by and a Wednesday that will be busy with work.  However as busy as life gets and as busy as it seems, it is all manageable and tolerable because of that 4 letter word.  :)  LOVE!!! :)  

There are times when life stresses you out, times when you feel angry at the world....but having the support and love makes a world of difference.  I am not going to get all emotional and write all my feelings down about love.    The reason I love art and photography is it expresses visually the things I struggle to say with my words.  So rather than me trying to wax eloquent about my feelings, I'll post some images that are special to me and make me think warm and fuzzy thoughts about my amazing wife.

Yay for long weekends.  I am not sure this last week could of dragged on any longer.  Starting a new job is tough when you are as old as dirt.  I sure enjoy the time to rest up.  I have ALMOST finished editing Coleen's wedding pictures and Mel and Phil's wedding pictures too.  Hopefully they will both be done VERY soon.  Not much is new in life, just BUSY and stressful work, adjusting to the new position and school is tough but I have enjoyed it.  It's fun to have a new challenge in life.  Here are some Coleen edits....Mel and Phil updates coming as well.

Mel and Phil get MARRIED!!

 Congrats to Mel and Phil, an awesome couple who tied the knot and gave me the honor of capturing their wedding photos.  Mel had an stunning dress and was a lovely bride, it was a very fun and relaxing time for Jenn and I.  The day was HOT!!!  Weather was cooking and so was the bridal party.  Everyone managed to survive the photos and here are a few of the edits hot off the camera. :)

On a personal note, found out that Aerosmith cancelled the concert I was looking forward to.  I am debating if I'll hold on to my tickets for a return date or get a refund.
