This picture was taken on a black background with a ton of cat hair. I used layers and a lot of curves and levels to try and get it to hide. The black is uneven but it's the best job I could do. Madison looks awesome and her colourful top really pops out here.

Strobist: There is an Alienbee 400 slightly behind Madison camera right, creating that cool lens flare and backlight. I also shot an AlienBee 800 ringflash with a moon unit as my main light camera right. The hair moving is a small fan aimed from camera left.

I like this picture of Madison, she's just doing whatever and showing a nice candid type shot. Not every portrait needs eye contact directly with the camera. I just think this is a fun and relaxed shot.

Playing with texture in this edit....added some layers of other colours on top of the original photo. Madison is easy to take pics of, just a natural beauty.

~ EIPS Photo Walk ~

I had a chance to go on a photo walk with a group of staff from EIPS, we had a fun time.  I got a chance to just enjoy the beauty of the plants and flowers at the Muttart in Edmonton.  It was peaceful to just be there and capture the beauty of nature inside, while outside it was raining and cold.  Here are a few of the edits I have from today:

This shot I really enjoyed because it had such colourful orange and yellow leaves behind it.  It almost looks like lights, the 70-200 2.8  really blurred the background nicely.

This shot was lovely....I saw the water beads on it and felt I had to capture a few shots of it.  Added a texture layer in CS4 and not much else. 

Love the green in this shot, just enjoyed it for the colour and soft carpet it creates.

Played with a lens baby that my friend Tara let me borrow.  It was funky.

This was a beautiful flower, I enjoyed it's simplicity.

Most models I shoot with have to pick and Oiler jersey and let me shoot them with it....heheheh.  I am a HUGE Oiler fan.  Here is Madison rocking the retro Brown jersey!! :)

Growing up my Dad always had a beard.  So in honor of my Dad I am growing a beard.  Right now he is in California undergoing Prostate Cancer treatment.  I love you Dad and hope you stay strong and back to being your amazng self again soon.

What a busy week.  Have a shoot on Wednesday with a new model named Maddy.  That should be fun.  Then going to PD Day this year, hope no more Rockband surprises....hehehe.  Anyway, hope to have more stuff on the blog soon.  Here is an edit from an older shoot.  Processing is updated......:)
